Product Review: Fisher Price Mickey Mouse Clubhouse See n’ Say Toy

While the children’s television show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is a cute and creative show, which my daughter loves, the Fisher Price Mickey Mouse Clubhouse See n’ Say toy was quickly hidden from her reach. The main reason is the toy’s lack of volume controls, resulting in an elevated parental annoyance level.

Don’t get me wrong – the toy itself is a fine toy, I think all kids had something to this effect growing up (I had one with farm animals), but the creators violated one sacred rule of audible children’s toys – always include a volume control.

The video above may not playback at the exact volume that one would hear in person, but take it from me, this toy is very loud. I’ve seen many children’s devices with at least a switch to set the volume for loud or soft, but this toy does not have any such option, leaving you listening to the many sounds of Mickey Mouse at an obnoxiously high decibel level.

Children of course, lack any aversion to loud and annoying sounds, and feel compelled to repeat that annoying sound over and over and over again. Thus, this toy had to go.

As a parent, to ensure sanity, I would not recommend Fisher Price Mickey Mouse Clubhouse See n’ Say Toy.
